SB26-137: Measures to Reduce Administrative Burdens – Requires departments to review their rules every five years to identify outdated or burdensome regulations and allows legislative committees to recommend further review, improving accountability and efficiency.

SB26-015: Commercial Sexual Activity with a Child Offenses – Strengthens protections for children by increasing penalties for exploitation and internet luring, helping hold predators accountable and protect our most vulnerable.

HB26-1024: Raising Age of Voluntary Relinquishment of Child – Extends voluntary child relinquishment from 72 hours to 30 days and creates a path for parents to reunite with their child, offering more flexibility and time during a difficult decision.

HB26-1334: Modify Standards of Wildfire Resiliency Code Board – Extended the timeline and improved local coordination for wildfire protection in construction. Many communities, including areas in Colorado Springs, struggled to meet state deadlines.

HB26-1129: Gas Utility Service – Would have removed residential natural gas emissions from utilities’ clean heat goal calculations. With many Coloradans facing high energy costs, it aimed to reduce regulatory burdens and protect consumers from additional cost increases.

HB26-1110: Vulnerable Adult Financial Exploitation Banking – Protects vulnerable adults from financial exploitation by letting banks delay suspicious transactions when abuse is suspected, helping shield seniors and other vulnerable adults from scams.
